Our world is 6000 years old and we have lived in it for much of those long years. For ages the Gods of the Zodiac have blessed us, each in their own way handing blessings to the child that was lucky enough to be born under their star. For so long we have prospered an flourished under their gentle and guiding paws…but there were some who were not contented with the blessings they were gifted. Finding that they could win the favor of another God should they forsake their own, some wolves began to receive the blessings of others Gods of the Zodiac. Fearing that they would be cast from the Zodiac for displeasing their followers, some of the Gods fought the others to win their children back. For a decade this war spread in the heavens and the eyes of the Gods were no longer cast on to us mortals. There were some who shunned the Gods, believing that they had been cursed but then there was us…The Shepards who remained loyal to the Gods that blessed us and sang our songs each night to remind us that one day they would return…and that day came one year ago. The Gods watch and walk among us once more, but there shall always be the tension between their shoulders and creases in their muzzles for their brothers and sisters. Never again will peace ever truly reign but still we sing.
Us, the shepherds,
we honor thee,
we ask for your return,
for the world is such an empty solemnity without your amazing grace.
So now, beneath the dim light of the stars,
we pray that you will receive,
the forever old creed of the shepherds,
we, those who follow thee.
